Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill Achieves LEED Silver® Certification

The Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill has received LEED Silver® certification after a nine-month renovation.


Washington, D.C. – March 13, 2026: After a nine-month collaborative renovation completed in 2025, in partnership with Digney York Associates (DYA), the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill achieved LEED Silver® certification, a globally recognized designation that highlights the property’s leadership in sustainability.

The renovation introduced a comprehensive transformation of the entire hotel.  DYA executed the renovation of all 840 guest rooms, suites, and corridors to exacting LEED Silver® standards. Throughout the project, a strong emphasis was placed on sustainable building systems and environmentally responsible design.
