Sam Murphy brings more than seven years of experience in the residential homebuilding industry to Digney York Associates. A graduate of Ohio University with dual degrees in Marketing and Management Information Systems, Sam combines technical expertise with business insight to support projects with efficiency.
Before joining DYA, Sam managed ERP systems and oversaw the budgeting process for a regional homebuilder. In this role, he streamlined workflows, improved financial accuracy, and provided leadership with the data needed to make informed decisions. His work strengthened operational consistency and enhanced transparency across departments, giving him a strong foundation in both systems management and financial oversight.
At DYA, Sam applies this experience to the fast-paced world of hospitality renovation. Known for his analytical mindset, attention to detail, and approachable leadership style, he is a trusted partner across teams. He enjoys collaborating to create solutions that benefit both the project and the client.
Outside of work, Sam is a dedicated athlete and competitor. He plays on three ice hockey teams and competes in a bowling league, finding in sports the same discipline, teamwork, and energy he brings to his professional life. Beyond athletics, he enjoys travel, spending time with family and friends, and pursuing opportunities for personal growth.
