Renovation of the Houston Airport Marriott included the renovation of 573 guestrooms and suites in two towers. Scope included complete remodeling of existing guestrooms and bathrooms. Upgrades to the hotel included but were not limited to; conversion of over 465 guestroom baths from tub to shower; new energy circuiting to upgrade fire alarm system; electrical upgrades; new key card system; relocation of existing bath drains for shower upgrades, all bath and room finishes, upgrade to all bath fixtures and accessories, fire alarm upgrades, new sprinkler heads, and full FF&E installation. This was not a LEED project but all materials were processed through a recycling waste management company to minimize trash going to landfills. Approximately 85% of waste material was recycled.
