Lodging, the official publication of the American Hotel and Lodging Association, highlighted the execution of “a truly flawless renovation” by Digney York Associates. The Motif Seattle, a Destination Hotel, was listed as one of the Five Standout Hotel Renovations of 2017.  DYA completed the $10 million guestroom makeover of this upscale, chic boutique property that included all 319 rooms and guestroom corridors that visually reflects the various elements of Seattle’s culture.

The architecture and design is heavily inspired by the city’s burgeoning fashion, music and art scenes. The renovation became a platform for Motif’s Visiting Artist Program. Every year, the hotel collaborates with a local artist to design a new custom motif and carry it through to stationery, amenities, key cards, events and more.

The completion of the $44 million renovation of Los Angeles Airport Marriott was recognized by USA Today in their article ‘A Look at Notable Hotel Renovations‘.

This beautiful property has floor to ceiling windows with views of the Hollywood Hills, downtown Los Angeles and airport runways. The DYA scope included a top to bottom refresh on all 984 guestrooms and 20 suites on 18 floors including guestroom corridors. In the guest bath area, most of the tubs were removed and replaced with a spa shower experience. Also noteworthy was the Title 24 California Building Standards Code that was incorporated throughout the project. Lastly the M Club Lounge on the 18th Floor was given a completely new look, making it 5,000 sf of stunning views and a welcoming area for guests to work, recharge, and connect.
